Is the Free tier really free forever?

Yes. The local vault, CLI, and Node.js SDK are licensed under the Elastic License 2.0 and will always be free for personal and commercial use on a single machine.

What is the Elastic License 2.0?

ELv2 lets you use, modify, and distribute keyden freely. The only restriction is that you may not offer keyden itself as a hosted managed service. See the LICENSE file for the full text.

Can I use the Free tier for commercial projects?

Yes. You can use keyden in any commercial product or client project at no cost, as long as you are not reselling keyden as a standalone service.

How does vault sync work in Pro?

Your vault is end-to-end encrypted on your machine before being synced. We never have access to your secrets or your master password.

Is there a trial for Pro or Teams?
